The New Jersey Division of Taxation March 1 published information on the Atlantic City luxury tax, the state sales tax, and the state hotel/motel occupancy fee, for excise and sales and use tax purposes. The division explains that the combined rate is 12.625 percent for sales subject to both the state sales and use tax as well as the Atlantic City luxury tax, other than alcoholic beverages sold by the drink.
