New Jersey Tax Division Publishes Updated Frequently Asked Questions on Senior Freeze Property Tax Relief

The New Jersey Division of Taxation Feb. 5 published updated frequently asked questions (FAQs) on the Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement) Program. The FAQs provide: 1) eligible applicants have the option to electronically file their PTR-1, Senior Freeze Application, and PTR-2, Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement) Application; 2) with certain exceptions, taxpayers must own and live in the home for three full years after moving to a New Jersey residence before they can enter the program; and 3) taxpayers may be eligible to file a Senior Freeze application for 2023 if they moved to their current residence between Jan. 1, ...
