The New Jersey Department of Treasury announced that effective Jan. 1, 2025, the petroleum products gross receipt tax will increase 2.6 cents per gallon. As a result, the total tax rates that motorists will pay beginning in 2025 will be 44.9 cents per gallon for gasoline, and 51.9 cents per gallon for diesel fuel. [N.J.
