New Jersey Treasury Proposes Amendments to Transfer Inheritance, Estate Tax Rules

The New Jersey Department of Treasury proposed amending and readopting regulations regarding transfer inheritance tax and estate tax. The proposal seeks to extend the expiration date of the inital rules which were set to expire July 16, 2025. The proposed rules seek to carry out the statutory mandates which govern the imposition and collection of transfer inheritance tax and estate tax. Comments on the proposed rule are due Oct. 17. [N.J.
