New Mexico Governor Signs Law on Medicaid Reimbursement

The New Mexico Governor signs law requiring managed care organizations to reimburse health care providers for any gross receipts taxes paid on Medicaid services rendered, effective Jan. 1, 2026. The law also specifies that managed care organizations must provide documentation that differentiates the Medicaid reimbursement from the gross receipts tax reimbursement.
