The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department issued a bulletin announcing extended tax filing and payment deadlines for taxpayers affected by severe flooding in Lincoln County and Ruidoso in late June and early July 2025. For returns due July 25 and August 25, the extended due date is October 27, with no late filing penalties but interest still accruing per state law. The extension applies to various state taxes including gross receipts, compensating, withholding, oil and gas, fuel, and other excise taxes for affected taxpayers as defined by IRS disaster relief criteria.
