New Mexico Tax Department Publishes Electronic Filing, Payment Mandates for Income, Sales, Excise Tax Programs

The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department June 2 published information on electronic filing and payment mandates for nine tax programs, for corporate income, sales and use, and excise tax purposes. Mandates for the programs have been in place for varying amounts of time. The e-filing and e-pay mandate for the cannabis excise tax was instituted this year. Electronic filing and payments are processed more quickly, help to minimize manual errors, and allow for quicker resolution of issues.
