New York Amends Pound Ridge Fire Department Law, Includes Fire Insurance Premium Tax Collection Provisions

The New York Governor signed a law concerning the Pound Ridge Volunteer Exempt Firemen’s Benevolent Association. The law includes providing for the collection of the fire insurance premium tax on foreign and alien insurers imposed by section 9104 of the insurance law on all premiums covering property within the Pound Ridge Fire District, the town of Pound Ridge, Westchester County, or within any duly organized territory in which the Pound Ridge Fire Department is in or may be obligated to render fire protection.
