The New York State Governor signed a law extending Jefferson County’s authorization to impose an additional one percent sales tax above the standard three percent rate. The authorization for this additional sales tax has been extended through Nov. 30, 2027. This act takes effect immediately upon passage. [S.B. 6207, enacted 08/07/25]
