The New York Governor signs law increasing the tax that Dutchess County can impose and collect on the occupancy of hotels, motels, boarding houses, conference centers, and tourist homes from 4 percent to 5 percent. The law takes effect immediately. [S. 9181, enacted 11/22/24]
