New York Governor Signs Law Authorizing E-Signatures on Tax Documents

The New York Governor signed a law amending the tax law to establish procedures for electronic signatures on documents submitted to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, requiring the commissioner to develop procedures conforming with IRS standards, and allowing authorized representatives with power of attorney to use electronic signatures.
