New York Sues B&H for Millions in Unpaid Sales Tax (1)

B&H Foto & Electronics Corp., a New York City retailer, owes millions of dollars in sales tax on consumer rebates reimbursed by manufacturers, state Attorney General Letitia James (D) said.

B&H—which says it’s the largest U.S. photo and video gear store that isn’t part of a chain—knowingly failed to pay the sales tax on tens of millions of dollars in rebates over 13 years, the state alleged in a Nov. 14 lawsuit.
