NJ Tax Break for NHL’s Devils Arena Heads to Governor’s Desk

A proposed $300 million tax break toward renovations at the Prudential Center in Newark is awaiting action from Gov. Phil Murphy (D) in his final days in office.

  • The New Jersey Senate and Assembly approved a bill on Monday creating the tax incentive for upgrades at the home arena of the NHL’s Devils, sending it to Murphy’s desk for his approval. The Assembly voted 49-22 in favor and the Senate passed it 33-4.
