North Carolina DOR Issues General Instructions for Form E-500H, White Goods Disposal Tax Return

The North Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) Oct. 1 issued general instructions for Form E-500H, White Goods Disposal Tax Return. The excise tax return must be filed for each return period by the due date or a delinquent notice for failure to file will be issued by the DOR. If a taxpayer has no tax due for a filing period, the taxpayer must file the return and enter zero on the form. If a taxpayer discontinues business operations then Form NC-BN, Out-of-Business Notification, must be completed and mailed in separately to the DOR at the address shown on the form. ...
