The North Dakota State Tax Commissioner Oct. 12 issued a reminder that the individual income tax filing extension deadline is Oct. 15. Taxpayers with a federal extension may file their returns without penalty through Oct. 15. While electronic filing is encouraged, paper filers must have their return postmarked by Oct. 15, or they may drop it off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Office of State Tax Commissioner’s drop box inside the West door of the State Capitol.
