A top New York lawmaker will introduce legislation to decouple the state’s tax code from components of the federal tax law President Donald Trump signed in July.
State Sen. Andrew Gounardes (D), chair of the committee on budget and revenue, told Bloomberg Tax he will introduce two bills on Monday to split from federal tax changes on expense rules for corporations and the child and dependent care credit.
The legislation has yet to be formally introduced but draft language was reviewed by Bloomberg Tax.
