NY Local Sales-Tax Collections Rose 3.7% in First Half of 2025

New York state local sales-tax collections rose 3.7% in the first half of 2025, nearly the same as the average growth rate for the January to June period from 2010 to 2019, during the economic recovery and expansion following the Great Recession, according to state Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli.
