The New York City Advisory Commission on Property Tax rescheduled two public hearings next month, ending a 14-month postponement triggered by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The virtual hearings will take place on May 11 for the Staten Island borough and May 27 for the Brooklyn borough, according to a notice from the commission Friday. Efforts to reform the city’s property tax system, which many have decried as unfair, has languished due to the pandemic and politics.
