The Ohio Department of Revenue (DOR) Sept. 16 proposed an amendment to rule on the declaration of estimated income tax returns. The proposal includes measures to: 1) apply the existing rule to the school district income tax; 2) provide that individuals use the same method for filing and paying Ohio individual income and school district income tax used for federal income tax; 3) permit the estimated payment option for extension filers; 4) remove the declaration of estimated tax; and 5) make non-substantive verbiage changes.
