Ohio DOT Announces Sales Tax Rate Changes Effective Oct. 1 for Hamilton, Tuscarawas Counties

The Ohio Department of Taxation (DOT) July 31 announced the sales and use tax rate changes for Hamilton and Tuscarawas counties effective Oct. 1. The DOT includes: 1) the tax rate increase to 7.80 percent from 7 percent for Hamilton County; and 2) the tax rate decrease to 6.75 percent from 7.25 percent for Tuscarawas County.
