The Ohio Department of Taxation Jan. 1 issued a commercial activity tax (CAT) filing deadline reminder, stating that the fourth quarter 2023 CAT return is due by February 12, 2024. The department advises taxpayers expecting to have $3 million or less in taxable gross receipts in tax year 2024 to cancel their CAT account by December 31, 2023. The department also reminds taxpayers that all CAT filings and payments must be made electronically via the Ohio Business Gateway.
