Ohio Tax Department Issues Information on 2023 Individual Income Tax Filing Season Deadlines

The Ohio Department of Taxation Dec. 1 issued information on the 2023 individual income tax filing season deadlines. The department hasn’t yet determined the filing season opening date, but the filing season deadline is April 18, 2023, and the extension filing deadline is Oct. 16, 2023. The information includes: 1) individuals with a state taxable nonbusiness income of $26,050 or less aren’t subject to the tax for 2022; 2) state taxable nonbusiness income in excess of $115,300 is taxed at 3.99 percent; and 3) the Vocational Job Credit, for corporate income tax purposes, is available for taxpayers who received a ...
