Ohio Tax Department Issues Sales and Use Tax Filing Deadline Reminder

The Ohio Department of Taxation Jan. 17 issued a deadline reminder to tax practitioners and taxpayers that the December 2023 monthly sales and use tax returns, fourth quarter 2023 use tax returns, and the July-December 2023 semi-annual sales tax returns are due Jan. 23. Taxpayers are required to file returns for each period the account is active. Taxpayers must file sales tax returns electronically through the state’s Business Gateway.
