Ohio Tax Department Proposes to Amend Excise Tax Regulation on International Registration Plan Audits, Hearings

The Ohio Department of Taxation July 1 proposed to amend a highway use tax regulation on International Registration Plan (IRP) audits and hearings, for excise tax purposes. The proposal includes measures to: 1) align IRP audit and appeals processes with most current versions of IRP and appellate process used to contest tax assessments; and 2) clarify when audit findings become final.
