Oklahoma Enacts Law Removing Sunset Date for Forestry Service Equipment Tax Exemption

The Oklahoma Governor signed a law amending 68 O.S. §2021, regarding the sales tax exemption on commercial forestry service equipment sold to businesses engaged in logging, timber, and tree farming. The law includes removing the Jan. 1, 2027, sunset date for the tax exemption. The law takes effect Nov. 1. [H.B. 3661, enacted 05/12/26]
