Oklahoma Governor Signs Law Exempting Volunteer Poll Workers Compensation From Individual Income Tax

The Oklahoma Governor April 26 signed a law exempting volunteer poll workers compensation from individual income tax. The law includes measures: 1) providing a tax exemption to employers that grant paid leave for their employees to work as volunteer poll workers for a county election board; and 2) specifying that the exemption is equal to $100 per day of paid leave granted.
