Oklahoma Governor Signs Law Relating to Excise Tax Payments for Direct Wine Shipper Permit Holders

The Oklahoma Governor May 25 signed a law amending provisions related to payment of excise tax for Direct Wine Shipper permit holders. The law includes measures: 1) requiring Direct Wine Shipper permit holders to submit quarterly reports to the Alcoholic Beverage Laws Enforcement Commission relating to the delivery of wine to any person in the state; and 2) requiring Direct Wine Shipper permit holders to quarterly pay to the Oklahoma Tax Commission all applicable taxes due on sales to state residents in the preceding calendar year.
