The Oklahoma Supreme Court Sept. 21 denied a petition for a writ of mandamus, which would have required the inclusion of a ballot measure to legalize and tax recreational marijuana in the November general election. Petitioners filed Initiative Petition 434, State Question 820, which if approved by voters would legalize adult recreational marijuana use, with a 15 percent excise tax on sales.
