Oklahoma Tax Commission Publishes List of Revised Rates, Codes for Sales, Use, Lodging Tax

The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) Feb. 2 published revised rates and codes for sales and use taxes and lodging excise taxes for various cities and counties. The OTC provides that effective April 1: 1) the sales and use tax rate increases to 5 percent from 4 percent for the city of Lamont; 2) a new lodging tax rate of 6 percent takes effect in McAlester; and 3) a new sales tax rate of 0.5 percent takes effect in Smithville.
