Oklahoma Tax Commission Publishes Sales, Use, Lodging Excise Tax Rates for Second Quarter 2024

The Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC) Feb. 2 published updated rates and codes for sales and use taxes and lodging excise taxes for various cities and counties, effective April through June 2024. The OTC provides rate changes effective April 1, including: 1) new lodging taxes of 5 percent for Alva and 6 percent for McAlester; 2) sales tax rate increases to 4 percent from 3.4 percent for Grove, to 5 percent from 4 percent for Lamont, and to 4.5 percent from 3.5 percent for Skiatook; and 3) a new sales tax rate of 0.5 percent in Smithville.
