Semiconductor companies in Oregon would be eligible for a new tax credit for research and development expenses under a deal that the House approved Wednesday.
The bill (H.B. 2009) would reboot Oregon’s R&D credit to compete with other states and add to federal tax incentives from the CHIPS Act. A previous state version of the credit expired in 2017.
