The Oregon Governor May 19 signed a law to align provisions concerning payments of interest by the Department of Revenue (DOR) with current systems and processes, for corporate income, individual income, and trust income tax purposes. The law includes measures: 1) providing for a uniform 45-day grace period with respect to the DOR’s payment of interest on tax refunds; and 2) applying the change to tax refunds owing as of Jan. 1, 2018.
