Jan. 15, 2025, 1:02 PM UTC

The Pennsylvania Board of Finance and Revenue (BFR) granted taxpayer a refund plus interest for the 2005 tax year. Taxpayer had filed a joint tax return with her then-husband who allegedly manipulated their financial documents and fraudulently signed taxpayer’s name without her knowledge. The Board exercised its equitable powers based on the unique circumstances, finding that taxpayer was entitled to a refund of the tax, interest, and penalties paid. [Pa.
