The Philadelphia Department of Revenue (DOR) Dec. 26 announced that the last day to pay the 2024 commercial trash collection fee is Dec. 31. Small businesses, multi-unit buildings, and mixed-use properties using this service must pay the fee of $500 that covers the weekly trash pick-ups for the entire year. Failing to pay the fee on time can result in extra charges. Additionally, certain properties that use a private trash collection service may qualify for the Commercial Trash Fee Exemption. [Phila.
