Proskauer Tax Fraud Malpractice Claims Revived by Georgia Court

International law firm Proskauer Rose LLP will face revived claims that it conspired with accounting firm BDO Seidman LLP to promote tax evasion after the Georgia Supreme Court reversed a ruling that the suit is time-barred.

Douglas and Jacqueline Coe sued Proskauer for legal malpractice, fraud, and other claims in 2015, 13 years after the firm and BDO advised them to invest in distressed debt from a foreign company to offset the tax obligations involved in the sale of their company.
