Rhode Island Authorizes Town of Glocester to Raise Property Taxes

The Rhode Island state legislature passed a law authorizing the town of Glocester to raise property taxes beyond the existing 4 percent tax cap, by up to an additional 3 percent in fiscal year 2026. The law takes effect upon passage. [S.B. 1155, enacted 07/01/25]
