Rhode Island DOR Enhances Tax Portal With Expanded Filing Options

The Rhode Island Division of Taxation announced enhancements to the RI Tax Portal, the state’s electronic filing and payment platform that satisfies the Electronic Filing Mandate requirements. The updates expand the portal’s lookback period for prior-year filings from two to three years, introduce a streamlined license renewal process featuring a dedicated “RENEW” button, prioritize open accounts in account display ordering, and provide clearer form identification with both numbers and descriptions.
