Rhode Island Legislature Enacts Law Providing Property Tax Exemption for Johnston Senior Residents

The Rhode Island Legislature May 10 enacted a law providing property tax exemptions for Johnston senior residents who are 65 years or over. The law authorizes the town of Johnston to grant the following property tax credit: 1) $800 for the fiscal year 2025; 2) $900 for the fiscal year 2026; and 3) $1,000 for the fiscal year 2027.
