Rhode Island Passes Law on West Greenwich Property Tax Exemptions

The Rhode Island state legislature passed a law regarding property tax exemptions and stabilization for low- and moderate-income housing units in the town of West Greenwich. The law allows the town council to grant partial or full tax exemptions, or stabilize taxes, for up to 30 years on qualifying property, after a public hearing. The law takes effect upon passage.
