Russia Tax Agency Announces Deadline to Submit 2022 Reports on Foreign Accounts, Electronic Wallets

The Russian Federal Tax Service May 16 announced the June 1 deadline for resident individuals to submit 2022 reports on foreign accounts and foreign electronic wallets. The announcement includes that: 1) reports can be submitted in electronic form through the personal account of the taxpayer, in person, or by registered mail; 2) individuals who have spent a cumulative period exceeding 183 days abroad in 2022 are not required to submit reports; and 3) reports are not required to be submitted for accounts opened in countries within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) or participating in automatic financial information exchange, as well ...
