Katie Wilson, a community organizer who campaigned on raising taxes on the wealthy to expand social services, won election as Seattle’s next mayor as she edged out incumbent
Harrell conceded the race Thursday, saying he spoke with Wilson and congratulated her on her victory. As of late Wednesday, Wilson held a lead of fewer than 2,000 votes with only a limited number of ballots left to resolve after last week’s hard-fought election.
