Skechers Case Is a Skip, Tax Agency Tells Wisconsin Justices

Skechers USA Inc.'s request for Wisconsin Supreme Court review of its tax case should be denied because since-enacted statutes already control sham transactions like those at issue, the state told the justices.

“A decision from this Court, like the Court of Appeals’s unpublished per curiam decision, would extend no further than the facts of Skechers’s particular case,” the Wisconsin Department of Revenue told the state’s top court Thursday.
