Oct. 25, 2019, 7:50 PM UTC

The South Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR) Oct. 24 announced the launch of a new online state tax lien registry Nov. 1, for property tax purposes. Liens are issued for failure to pay taxes, and under the new system they’re accessible to the public on the DOR’s website. After Nov. 1, counties won’t receive state tax liens, satisfactions, or expungements from the DOR. The DOR will announce the registry’s availability Nov. 1. [S.C.
