South Carolina lawmakers are looking to give businesses a more uniform and easier way to pay their license taxes.
The state House of Representatives gave unanimous approval Thursday to a bill (H.B. 4431) overhauling the system and sent it to the Senate for consideration. Changes to the system are backed by a broad coalition of business groups.
