The South Dakota Governor signed a law concerning regulation of the sale of nicotine products. The law includes amending the statute providing that all lists of taxpayers, licensees, or applicants compiled by the Department of Revenue are confidential, and unauthorized disclosure is a misdemeanor, except for certain licensees. The law expands the list of excepted licensees to include those listed under the enacted law. The law takes effect on July 1. [H.B. 1220, enacted 03/25/26]
