May 16, 2025, 3:10 PM UTC

The Tennessee Governor signed a law concerning taxation. The law includes amending the hotel occupancy privilege tax to provide that when a person has stayed for 30 continuous days, the operator will remit the tax for the period and cease collecting tax for the remainder of the stay in the operator’s hotel. The law took effect on May 5, and applies to rental agreements entered into, renewed, or amended on or after July 1. [S.B. 384, enacted 05/05/25]
