Tennessee Court of Appeals Affirms Decision Granting Appellee’s Motion to Claim Excess Proceeds

The Tennessee Court of Appeals Dec. 17 affirmed the trial court’s decision granting appellees’ motion to claim excess proceeds from a 2022 tax sale of real property in Hamilton County. Appellees had held a valid judgment lien against the property at issue at the time of the disputed tax sale in July 2022. In early 2024, heirs of the former property owner filed motions to claim the excess proceeds.
