Tennessee DOR Announces Henry County Mineral Severance Tax Rate Effective October 1

The Tennessee Department of Revenue (DOR) published a notice announcing that Henry County will implement a mineral severance tax, effective Oct. 1. The tax will be set at a rate of 20 cents per ton for sand, chert, sandstone, limestone, and gravel that is extracted from the ground on or after this date. [Tenn.
