Tennessee DOR Extends Franchise, Excise Tax Deadlines for Storm-Affected Businesses

The Tennessee Department of Revenue (DOR) published a notice announcing tax filing extensions for businesses impacted by Winter Storm Fern in federally declared disaster areas. The notice extends the franchise and excise tax filing and payment due dates to May 22 for affected taxpayers in 23 counties, and allows extensions for other taxes on a case-by-case basis for those unable to file due to the storm’s impact.
