The Tennessee Department of Revenue (DOR) Jan. 1 announced extensions for tax filing and payment deadlines for taxpayers in disaster areas impacted by severe storms and tornadoes. These extensions, aligned with the IRS’s decision to extend federal deadlines, apply to individuals and businesses affected by the storms in FEMA-designated disaster areas. The Franchise and excise tax filing and payment deadlines are extended to June 17, with no penalties or interest for returns and payments made by that date.
